theres these two menace creature women who have nothing to do with each other but they're both loud and annoying, one bothers her gf and the other bothers the traveling merchant lady who doesn't like her and really wants to stab her, she is unable to die however so that sucks.

WELL then, MCU managed to do a wonderful job with the No Way Home. SUCH a good job.

I’m sure people are going to hate it but, I just have to say as someone who’s watched every Spiderman movie in a cinema hall - god this was so worth the wait for me

Bless you for bringing back the same Spiderman vibe I grew up on, this was such a satisfying end to Holland’s trilogy.

This is just a stream of thought rant/review so,,, let’s go baby. First the non-spoiler parts that we already knew about the movie.

- the villains. very MCU of them. A lot of people assumed it was a disservice to bring them back, but MCU did it them right.

- Max (Electro) was adorable and dumb, major himbo energy in this one but that was about it (biased cause I don’t really like Jamie Fox a lot)

- Otto Octavius my beloved, they did you right!! I mean I was worried they would do him dirty but the DIDN’T (or at least In my opinion they didn’t and I’m so happy!!)

- WILLEM DAFOE MY BELOVED, he did such a wonderful and beautiful job. Norman Osborn is going thru it and they SHOWED us

- Lizard was chilling vibes & Sandman was tired

- Strange was funny, and he was in the movie exactly the right amount. Just right. Not too much, not too little. It was perfectly stand alone (in whatever way Marvel allows for Stand alone now)

Spoilers here on out

- oh they pulled it off. They pulled it off SO well. Seeing Andrew and Tobey made me 6 years old again. It made me 12 years old again. It made me baby. I felt all my years of being alive. I LOVED IT

- GOD THEYRE ALL SUCH DORKS AND I LOVE THEIR PETER-NESS!! So beautiful. So well done!!

- MJ AND PETE (Ramiverse) MADE IT! GOD IM SO HAPPY!!

- BUT THAT YOU FOR LETTING ANDREW!SPIDERMAN SAVE MJ BECAUSE WE NEEDED THAT. HE NEEDED THAT. He needed to know he saved SOMEONE, even if it wasn’t the love of his life, he saved Peters MJ and that’s what matters

- I appreciate the way MCU’s created it’s own narrative, with May taking Ben’s role, but also Tony took Ben’s in a different way. I like what they did, and I really fucking appreciate it cause it felt like a Spiderman movie after so long

- Making them forget Peter. God that was such a good move, because again they pulled it off. Peter Parker went from the MCU Spiderman to the friendly neighbourhood Spiderman

- that was satisfying!! That was SO satisfying. He see’s MJ and a part of me went, “oh, they’re starting over” which is beautiful but I also think he saw her wounds and decided that he didn’t wanna bring her into this. Not now. Maybe never, but she did promise to find him if he didn’t, and I know it’ll happen. But he’ll wait till it’s right, and god that’s character development.

- at the start of the movie he was still naive? Still wanted it all - which is why he even went to Strange. And strange was SO annoyed lmao I love it.

- But Peter made almost the ultimate sacrifice, after all the loss he went through he still gave up the one thing he had left, cause he had to do the ‘right thing’. He did it.

- IDK how Tom did it but Spiderman seems like less of a kid. Like Peter finally grew up. Is it cause he moved out (INTO THE SAME HOUSE TOBEY!PETER LIVED IN???) or like, idk?? But he did it 😭

- Peter went through a lot of trauma but he’s okay now, we know he is. He’s gonna be fine. And he’s got this on his own.

- the suit at the end?? I LOVE WHAT THE IMPLICATIONS OF IT!! HES DOING THIS ON HIS OWN. It’s all him now.

- The way they treated stark tech made me really ?? at the beginning but I get it. It’s a Spiderman post-Tony era. Post-Stark. In a way, post-MCU vibe? Like idk what it is, but it feels like a Peter Parker who’s just… Peter the kid who has a Burt load of responsibility but he’s ok

- It’s like seeing the other Peter’s, and seeing what they went through? It helped. He knows he’s not alone in the world even though he lost ALL of them. But god, the pains nothing and everything all at once

- MATT MURDOCK SUPREMACY I LOVE U?? I didn’t know how much I missed him till right now but baby Matt, you’re the highlight of my week (After Andrew!Spiderman)

- Venom end credit scene I love u so much for not taking away my gay married couple away from me?? I was so scared they would trap him in this MCU-verse and they’d play down the chaotic due that is Venom & Eddie

- MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS SNEAK PEAK!! God seeing Wanda was serotonin and I’m so happy

- the more I think about it the less there is to it. It felt like watching an event unfold? So much happened and it wasn’t that all over the place. Which means gonna watch it a second time yes. I said I would for eternals but never did. This deserves a second time I think.

- GOD I CANT BELIEVE THEY PULLED IT OFF STILL?? Like sure there were leaks and all but, it was good. Pure. Happy. Nice. Lovely. I love it

- THANK YOU FOR GIVING NED GROWTH!! It’s weird you did it with Magic, ok Disney? but I’m so glad he’s not just Ned Leeds, thirdwheel and guy in the chair for spiderman. GIVE MORE WORK TO JACOB I LOVE WHAT HES DOING

Dear Dread Liege of the Yule Stories,

I’m beautifulduckweed on AO3. I am so stoked to get a story from you! I picked one normal-ish fandom (Band Sinister, a delightfully queer and poly romance novel) and two of my favorite meme fandoms. Because why the fuck not. The spirit of the season lives in us all.

A smattering of things I love:

Cracktastic mashups and premises. No, for serious, if you want to jam, like, Temeraire, Hannibal, and Malaysian trickster stories featuring Sang Kancil into the same fic, do it; I will eat it the fuck up and beg for more.

Smut. Feel free to write at any explicitness level you feel comfortable with! I have only a few Do Not Wants.

My favorite genres are romance (it’s what I read and write the most of), SFF, horror, literary fiction, and the YA variants of all of those.

My fave romance tropes: Idiots to lovers. Friends to lovers. Only one bed. Grumpy/sunshine.

Sluts, himbos, and slutty himbos are my catnip.

I love stories about big-hearted people doing scary, vulnerable things and being rewarded with love, affirmation, orgasms, and generally every fulfilling thing they ever wanted.

I also love having my sense of what’s real and what’s not fucked with. Like, what the fuck is going on? How reliable is this narrator? How far can we trust memory, reality and experience—not just in this story, but in general? What is, like, the fundamental nature of storytelling, man? I’m sorry, reading a lot of William Gibson and Philip K. Dick in my early 20s broke me forever; that’s just the way I am now.

Enough with the happy happy joy joy shit. You know what else I love? Body horror, and horror in general. If you wanna be gory and violent and gross, go the fuck nuts! A friend once told me I’m hard to squick and easy to please, which is uncomfortably accurate to the point of being a read. THAT SAID, I do have a few buttons I don’t want pushed—see the Do Not Wants section.

I would like, if at all possible, for the fic to end happily, i.e., all the major characters are stable and happy and if not exactly 100% OK with their previous life choices, at least not actively tormented by them any more.

Do Not Wants:

Pet death. I am totally fine with, like, random rabbit needs to be killed for dinner while out in the woods, or oh no, we have to defend ourselves from a charging hippo or hostile lizard from outer space. Just. Don’t let Freddie Purrcury or Dave the dog who’s obsessed with tennis balls die in this fic.

Animal cruelty. Brief mentions of stuff happening in the past or whatever are fine; seeing an animal tortured on-page is a big no.

Noncon/dubcon. Enthusiastic consent only, please!

Major character death. Random minions, as always, can be sacrificed to the storytelling gods.

Kink no’s: I’m not into blood, shit, puke or piss, but honestly, everything else is fair game, as long as the characters are enthusiastically consenting.

Look, I just want to see Lord Corvin bone down with anyone and everyone, OK? If you're in the KJC Chat Facebook group, KJ Charles posted an excerpt set post-Band Sinister in which Corvin makes a remark about a hot curate, and John's like "You can't fuck the curate," and Corvin's all "But I already fucked a bishop!" So Corvin seducing the hot curate, or a story about the hot bishop he fucked and the hilarious consequences that ensued would be DOPE, but honestly, I'm not too picky. If you don't want to write a fic in which Corvin gets down and dirty, that's totally fine, too, but would appreciate, like, a truly staggering amount of flirting. Just. Make me sweat from the UST.

Crack Prompt:

What would happen if a Star Trek crew (take your pick, I don't have a preference) used the holodeck to explore this world, eh? EHHH??

Oh god, what if he’s not tripping balls and the Disney animators fucked up and put the wrong russet-haired beauty in Beauty and the Beast and he runs around seducing everyone, from Beast to Gaston to Angela Lansbury Teapot, and the animators are like, goddammit, we know this is supposed to be PG, but this CHARACTER won’t stop WHIPPING HIS DICK OUT. And then Corvin seduces an animator. A whole team of animators. *galaxy brain*

Thoughts/Prompts:

OK, so moon's haunted, so does this mean space ghosts are going to fuck with our tides? What types of ghosts are haunting the moon? Why are ghosts susceptible to bullets? Hell, is it being haunted by something other than ghosts? How did the astronaut find out it was haunted? How long has it been haunted? How did it get that way? So many delicious questions. Pick the one(s) most pleasing to you and write about it.

I decided to pick Worldbuilding as the only character because I want you to have absolute free range; definitely feel free to include the astronaut and the NASA employee if you like!

Crack Prompt:

The astronaut, themself, is a ghost, and the NASA employee is a werewolf and the astronaut's ex, phantom knotting is hot, let's gooooo.

Are these people friends? Enemies? Frenemies? I need to know more about the nature of their relationship! I can't decide it'd be funnier to know the origin of this obsession with the texture of lava or whether if it'd be funnier to leave that forever a mystery, so you decide for me.

They're both contestants in a reality show about action geologists who are dropped off in dangerous parts of the world and forced to overcome/solve geology challenges with minimal tools, wilderness survival style. Like Alone, but for geologists.

ah okay so. for a long time i just enjoyed random media that gave me serotonin since i didnt really have other hobbies and then in 2018 i discovered homestuck. now im not going to like explain it but basically once you read it theres no going back and nothing else will bring you as much enjoyment as you get from reading it the first time :/ so from then on ive been on a long and arduous journey trying to find something that comes close and so far ive found like a couple things and one of those is orv <3
